Operational friction
Where work slows down, repeats itself or depends on individuals rather than systems.
About
Yossi Marchette identifies overlooked value, connects disconnected systems and builds the structures that allow ideas and organizations to move forward.
My experience spans business operations, high-volume retail, international art initiatives, publishing, media coordination and institutional partnerships. On paper those are different sectors. In practice they have asked the same thing of me: understand how something actually works, find what is being missed, and build the structure that lets it move.
I am not a specialist in a single vertical. I am useful in the space between functions — where strategy has drifted from operating reality, where a relationship is the missing dependency, or where genuine value exists but has no structure around it.
As Founder and Director of the DovBer Marchette Project, I lead strategy, partnerships, communications and cross-border US–Italy coordination for a multi-year exhibition initiative while preserving its independent cultural mission. That work sits alongside more than ten years of hands-on, high-volume operations and eight books published on Amazon. Each has demanded the same discipline: clarity first, then structure, then momentum.
Method
A stated problem is usually a symptom. Before proposing a solution, I look for what is structurally producing it.
Where work slows down, repeats itself or depends on individuals rather than systems.
The unspoken expectations that make two competent teams produce an incoherent result.
The conversation, intermediary or institutional contact that has never actually happened.
Real value that has never been articulated clearly enough for others to act on it.
